The seminar is for college students interested in television as a career and for young professionals looking to advance in their profession.

The television industry is undergoing tremendous changes. There are new technologies, new management philosophies, new program concepts that have an impact on every career path. How will this affect the career opportunities for college students looking to enter the industry or the future of those who are new in the business?

College students, TV Academy members and interested professionals will have the opportunity to talk with outstanding Chicago TV professionals--leaders in their field--about job availability, job qualifications, internships, educational requirements, and the background needed for a television job in Chicago. This is the word about the biz from the people who are working in the trenches NOW.

During the program, television professionals from the Chicago market will discuss their jobs and the requirements for those jobs. There will be representatives of most television disciplines on air as well as behind the camera. After an initial presentation by the panel members the program will be open to questions and discussion from the floor. Please note that this is not a job fair.
